I think after a certain amount of time an artist sits back and thinks...I need change and just like a mid life crisis they completely go off their rocker and take a whole new turn with their art.    That is where I am at right now, I have painted and shown landscape wet on wet paintings since the age of 15, I am 33 now.  About 6 years ago I got introduced to the world of fantasy art.  I loved it so much so I started going that direction with no such luck.  Then I discovered painting females, pin up, cartoonish, head shots.  I enjoy it so much but it is still a big learning process but the learning, new subject matter, new mediums has really just increased my joy for art again.  Its like a 45yr old man buying a motorcylce and leather pants.  You get an adventure bug so just go with it!
